OUR BACKGROUND
Though our founder, Teresa Calliham, came from a family of lawyers, she pursued her passion of helping others by stepping into the medical field. Over the years, she has fielded countless calls from family and friends seeking medical advice, both personal and for legal cases. She decided to combine her knowledge of the legal world and the medical world to form Clarity Legal Nurse Consulting.
After obtaining a biology degree, Teresa ventured into the world of emergency medical services. Gaining invaluable experience in an array of emergency situations from motor vehicle collisions to cardiac arrest and everything in between.
EMS led Teresa to finding her passion for nursing. She graduated valedictorian from Northeastern University Accelerated BSN program. While at Northeastern, she trained in a level one trauma Emergency Department in Charlotte, NC.
Since becoming a nurse, Teresa has worked on both a cardiac and stroke unit where she honed her nursing skills. She has also worked as a home hospice nurse, the director of nursing in an assisted living facility and in the OR.
The most specialized area that she has worked in was the operating room. She specialized in the brain and spine OR but worked in all procedural areas from general surgery to orthopedics and robotics.
